11/16/2017 Another reminder...Don't forget to join us on Tuesday, December 5th at our school wide Art Show in the Gym! Each CCES artist will have a framed artwork on display. You can purchase the framing that evening for $25 cash or check only. Your student's work will be returned if the framing is not purchased. Can't make it to the Show? Advance framing sales take place from Monday, November 27th until December 5th. Send cash or check with your child in an envelope with your child/children's name on it. All money should be brought directly to Mrs. Steffensen in the Art Room. Proceeds from the sales of framing go directly to the purchase of art supplies for our CCES students. As always, we sincerely appreciate your support! Questions? Contact Mrs. Steffensen at [email protected].
Here's Mrs. Lavenda's class of Art Champions! These students neatly and carefully glazed their clay pinch pots. They were also kind and helpful to each other and clean up was a breeze. After taking this photo, I noticed the delightful portrait over on the right. We're artists, after all!
11/12/2017 This week's art championsMs. Kroll's 4th Graders were the first group to create using the printmaking process. I have to admit I was a little nervous. This is always a difficult process to manage in the Art Room and I had tweaked the set up and routine in an effort to have things go more smoothly. This group of artists did an exceptional job working neatly and carefully. They were a great help to each other and even clean up was a breeze. The bar is set pretty high for the rest of 3rd, 4th and 5th grade artist now!
11/12/2017 IT'S THAT TIME ALREADY!The student artists at Crabapple Crossing are so excited to share our artwork with you! Plan to join us in the Gym where each and every student will have a framed original work of art on display gallery style. Framing will be available for purchase that evening for $25 cash or check only. We would love to see you even if you choose not to purchase the framing. All artwork will be returned to students whether or not framing is purchased. Musical performances by the CCES Chorus and Orff groups will be taking place in the Cafeteria. See you then!
11/5/2017 #gratitudeWe're officially kicking off #30daysofgratitude at CCES. So much to be thankful for! Here are last week's Art Champs, Mrs. Walker's class, the most careful painters in 2nd Grade! We had our official Glo For It celebration on Friday. So grateful for the support of this amazing community! Candice Selby, Jen Fratesi and an army of Glo volunteers surpassed their fundraising goal this year and had a super fun day of activities for CCES students. Can't thank these ladies enough for the countless hours they put in making all of this happen! Mr. D and I were happy to be a part of the parade kicking off the day's festivities. While we're on the subject of #gratitude, check out the new Art Room rug! Thanks PTO for helping to update our space!
