4/1/2016 CollaborationHere's a great example of the collaboration Michelle Ackerman and I enjoy. This clay surface treatment is new to me and definitely a favorite! It's construction paper crayon with a wash of black tempera paint. The results speak for themselves!
4/1/2016 Busy Days in the Art Room...It's hard to believe that Spring Break is upon us already! As always, the time seems to fly when we're doing what we love. We are about to begin stitchery in Kindergarten and First Grade. Second Graders will be weaving a basket with a paper plate and yarn. Third Graders will be weaving on a straw loom.
For the first time, our Fourth and Fifth Graders will be working independently in a Choice Based Art Room. Materials and detailed instructions are available. Each student will complete a written Artist's Statement, a perspective drawing and an op art paper weaving. Hoping these artists will use this time and opportunity wisely and excited to see their finished products! |
