4/22/2020 0 Comments Spring Drawing InstructionsKindergarten and First Grade Artists are already familiar with drawing from observation. While you are drawing something, really look at the object. Think of it as a bunch of lines and shapes. Start by drawing one of the lines or shapes that you see. Then draw another, and another... Soon your drawing will start to come together and look like your object. I chose a butterfly bush in my yard. It has a lot of old branches from last year. Those are the thicker cylinder like shapes. The new growth starts at the bottom of the butterfly bush and is green. In the background behind the butterfly bush, there is another large green evergreen shrub. On the ground around the butterfly bush, there is a lot of pine straw. Tiny violet colored flowers will grow in on it clumps this summer. This plant is called a butterfly bush because butterflies are attracted to the flowers and then drink the nectar from them.
